Trish has lived at the coast her whole life and enjoys selling and renting property to our friendly coastal locals but thrives on dealing with those who are yet to experience the beauty of our coast.
Achieving over 10 years' in Estate Agency, Trish started her career working for a large national agency, gaining experience in all aspects of the business at the very highest level from negotiating sales to running an office at management level.
Progressing her career further by setting up Richardsons in 2011 so she could concentrate on creating an Agency that was focused around what she believed in, the customer. Since that day she has been dedicated to growing the business and establishing a respected name within the industry. Her passion for people and property is what drove her forward. At the beginning, she was working single-handedly from dawn to dusk to build up her client base. Over time, through word of mouth and recommendations, clients naturally started coming to her.
After six years of carefully growing and nurturing the business, Trish was able to move to a larger, customer-facing office and employ experienced members of staff, offering a range of services, including residential sales and lettings, property management, mortgages and solicitors.
Standing out from the crowd for offering a 'No happy No Fee' policy, if you are unsatisfied with the service you have received from Richardsons you don't pay a penny. It is a credit to the company that this policy has not been utilised in the last six years.
This faith in the 'Richarson way' is further reflected in their open online reviews. There is no filtering of reviews, all customers are welcome to review directly to the review site.
"All types of businesses are on review sites so why not estate agents?" says Trish. "Being open and honest with customers is the best way to build up trust and having confidence in our service allows us the comfort of putting ourselves out there."
You can read these customer reviews at: www.rateragent.co.uk, an example of a review of Richardsons comes from R. Campbell in Whitley Bay.
"I have used Richardsons a number of times to find tenants and have always found it to be very good. The agent is always in touch and giving feedback on viewing, and letting you know if there is anything you can do to market the property better. The tenants are vetted thoroughly and the agent listens to what the customer is looking for in a tenant. I have used other agents in the past and have not got this level of professional and thorough service. I would definitely recommend Richardsons to others and my family have also used Richardsons already to advertise their property."
Another aspect of their service that sets Richardsons apart is the access they give to landlords and sellers when it comes to monitoring how their property is doing. Technology allows the client access to a 'back office login', meaning they can view all the action on their property at any time of the day should they wish to do so.
Considering all these little details, it is probably no surprise to hear that Trish, and therefore Richardsons, is regulated by Propertymark. The Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA) Propertymark is the UK's foremost professional and regulatory body for agents. Its members operate to professional standards far higher than those required by law and it offers both landlords and tenants peace of mind that they and their money are in safe hands, via Propertymark's Client Money Protection (CMP) scheme.
Trish says: "Education is imperative in the ever-changing property world and I believe it is important to give customers the most accurate and up to date professional advice possible. Being regulated by Propertymark shows our company's professionalism; Propertymark have a vigilant and thorough vetting procedure which is completed before gaining your licence with them. It is my hope that one day all agents will be licensed, to help bring more trust to the Industry. Richardsons growth and success is built entirely on recommendations and repeat business, no landlords have ever left Richardsons to take their properties elsewhere to be managed, which shows a high quality of service and professionalism."
Trish, who personally holds the ARLA qualification, believes that industry qualifications should be mandatory practice for all agents, not just those that chose to be.
